About the Role
This role is offered by a partner company located in Belgium and allows the successful candidate to lead and expand the people function within a rapidly growing, technology-focused organization. As Director of Talent & People, you will be accountable for the development and implementation of talent strategies, overseeing people operations, and crafting positive employee experiences while establishing scalable systems to help teams excel.
In close collaboration with executive leadership, you will shape how the company attracts, nurtures, and retains outstanding talent. This position combines both strategic leadership and operational responsibilities across recruitment, organizational development, and people management processes. You will foster a culture oriented toward high performance within a globally distributed team environment emphasizing ownership, cooperation, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and refine talent and people management strategies to equip the organization with appropriate structures, processes, and skills supporting growth.
- Direct company-wide talent acquisition, workforce planning, and recruitment operations to enhance hiring quality, efficiency, and consistency.
- Manage and grow the recruitment team by developing scalable hiring procedures across different functions and regions.
- Drive leadership hiring efforts personally, enhancing interview techniques, candidate experience, and evaluation methods.
- Implement robust people operations systems covering onboarding, offboarding, documentation, policies, and day-to-day employee assistance.
- Create excellent employee experiences throughout their lifecycle, clarifying roles, responsibilities, reporting lines, and expectations.
- Collaborate with leadership on organizational design, team structuring, and process improvements.
- Develop employee performance evaluation, feedback, career progression, and retention initiatives to boost engagement and growth.
- Provide insights on organizational health via metrics and proactively identify potential talent-related risks.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executives with practical solutions and infrastructure support for sustained expansion.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 5 to 10+ years experience in talent acquisition, human resources, people operations, or comparable leadership roles.
- Demonstrable experience supporting companies of over 100 employees, preferably in fast-scaling startups, agencies, technology firms, or similar environments.
- Proven leadership in managing recruiting teams and complete hiring workflows.
- Solid knowledge of people operations in a remote-first or globally dispersed setup.
- Track record of designing recruitment systems, onboarding protocols, performance management, and employee development programs.
- Experience collaborating closely with founders, executives, or senior leadership on strategic talent decisions.
- Strong decision-making capabilities and organizational judgment, adaptable to ambiguous situations and shifting priorities.
- Proactive ownership and execution-oriented mindset emphasizing problem-solving and continuous process improvements.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments requiring creation of new systems and processes.

- Competitive annual pay package ranging from USD 40,000 to 90,000, including base salary, performance bonuses, and equity participation.
