Director of Nonprofit Start-up (Half-time)

Overview

A newly forming nonprofit organization aims to support economically disadvantaged individuals in securing employment by collaboratively identifying their specific needs. At this initial stage, the focus is on determining the most effective ways to assist these clients, working closely with them and the leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Setting the cultural and operational tone of the organization alongside the founders.
• Ensuring a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
• Managing team communications and scheduling.
• Assisting with the recruitment and selection of the board of directors.
• Building productive relationships with community stakeholders.
• Identifying and connecting with potential donors.
• Overseeing program implementation and delivery.
• Maintaining accurate records, including financial documentation.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from a highly competitive US university.
• Exceptional writing skills.
• Openness and flexibility in thought.
• Comfort interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Self-assuredness without being arrogant.
• Proficiency in current software tools and applications.
• Strong capability to develop organizational structure from minimal existing frameworks.
• A preference for minimal reliance on artificial intelligence tools.

Additional Details

The position is part-time, requiring availability four days per week from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The compensation is $50 per hour.
