About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to become a part of our Christchurch team at Savills Australia & New Zealand. This role supports the execution of a broad portfolio of projects focused on water infrastructure (3 waters), education, infrastructure development, and commercial sectors. It offers a valuable opportunity for budding project professionals aiming to enhance their skills and gain hands-on experience with a variety of significant projects within a cooperative and high-achieving team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in delivering project objectives successfully.
  • Participate in all stages of design, construction, and commissioning for building and construction projects, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and quality goals.
  • Assist with managing consultant and construction contracts administration.
  • Coordinate tasks and responsibilities across project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures.

Candidate Profile

  • Prior experience in project management, construction, or on the client consultancy side.
  • Possession of relevant tertiary qualifications aligned with the industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with excellent customer service ability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools at an intermediate level.
  • Outstanding organizational capabilities coupled with a professional demeanor.
  • A collaborative mindset with a proactive and self-starting work ethic.
  • Capacity to operate independently and show initiative to boost work efficiency.
