Role Overview
The Director of Marketing for Skincare will craft and drive the overarching strategic direction and execution for the skincare portfolio. This pivotal role leads cross-disciplinary teams to foster brand expansion, elevate market presence, and spearhead impactful consumer-focused innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust strategic marketing plans for skincare aligning with brand goals and financial objectives.
- Collaborate with Research & Innovation and Global Marketing to shepherd new product development, from consumer insights to launch.
- Manage comprehensive 360-degree launch strategies encompassing digital channels, influencer collaborations, public relations, and retail activations.
- Oversee the skincare category's profit and loss, including managing advertising budgets, forecasting, and profitability assessments.
- Leverage data analytics, market research, and social listening to spot emerging trends and new product opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of brand managers and specialists fostering innovation and accountability.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Education, Supply Chain, and Digital/E-commerce teams to ensure seamless execution and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years in marketing with increasing responsibility, specifically in beauty or consumer packaged goods, with emphasis on skincare category management.
- Strong strategic analytical skills translating complex data into actionable marketing initiatives.
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing marketing teams.
- Deep understanding of financial management including P&L oversight, budget distribution, and ROI evaluation.
- Proven success steering new product launches from concept through to market release.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline is required; MBA preferred.
- Preferred experience in digital marketing disciplines such as social media, e-commerce, and analytics.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range between $144,800 and $210,000, variable with factors like experience and location.
