Position Overview
The Marketing Director for ANZ will spearhead the brand's expansion in Australia and New Zealand, reporting directly to the ANZ Country Manager. This pivotal role involves shaping and executing marketing strategies that boost brand awareness, drive consumer engagement, and ensure commercial success. The director will coordinate with marketing, sales, digital, product, and customer experience teams to authentically communicate Jellycat's story to local audiences. Initially, leadership will be exercised through collaboration and influence, with plans to develop a dedicated regional marketing team alongside business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the marketing vision for ANZ aligned with global Jellycat goals.
- Formulate both annual and long-term growth frameworks to increase brand consciousness and consumer interest.
- Deliver cohesive marketing campaigns that foster emotional resonance with consumers across Australia and New Zealand.
- Oversee regional digital marketing efforts across owned, earned, and paid platforms to expand consumer reach and engagement.
- Craft compelling brand narratives for various customer interaction points.
- Collaborate with international teams on product launches, seasonal promotions, and brand programs.
- Build and maintain partnerships with media, influencers, and strategic collaborators to elevate brand visibility and cultural alignment.
- Work jointly with retail and sales divisions to enhance in-store experiences and execute impactful trade marketing efforts.
- Manage regional marketing budgets, review performance metrics, and report insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Establish and grow the ANZ marketing team as operations expand.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive leadership experience at senior marketing levels with premium consumer brands, preferably within lifestyle, gifting, retail, fashion, luxury, or design-oriented sectors.
- Demonstrated success in scaling brand growth and consumer demand through effective marketing strategies.
- Proven ability to conceptualize and implement integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns from inception to completion.
- Strong background in PR, partnerships, influencer collaborations, and brand activations.
- Competent in managing sizeable marketing budgets with a focus on maximizing return on investment.
- Commercial acumen balancing brand development with business results.
- Experience in building, mentoring, and leading effective marketing teams.
- In-depth understanding of the consumer markets in Australia and New Zealand.
