Role Overview
The Consultant for Card Products Governance & Compliance will function as the primary control mechanism within the card services division, ensuring strict adherence to operational disciplines, regulatory compliance, and precision throughout card-related processes. This position partners closely with leadership to safeguard procedural integrity, confirm the accuracy of partner submissions, and uphold the reliability of both customer communication channels and internal documentation. Achieving success in this role demands meticulous attention to detail, persistence, and strong influence over various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the internal accountability focal point for governance matters within the cards team.
- Assess reports submitted by partners or vendors to verify alignment with regulatory, contractual, and operational standards.
- Track contract deadlines, identifying expiration dates and prompting timely renewals or closures.
- Supervise telesales scripts and operations to ensure consistency with official product documentation.
- Guarantee the accuracy and currency of card product details across all customer-facing platforms, including websites and mobile applications.
- Regularly maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures related to card business operations.
- Audit marketing and product materials to avoid the presence of obsolete or contradictory content.
- Examine contracts, agreements, and business cases prior to advancing them to senior leadership.
- Support the Head of Cards in activities concerning governance and oversight.
- Work collaboratively with product managers, operations teams, telesales, and vendors to ensure conformance with compliance requisites.
- Use persuasive communication to influence stakeholders towards adherence to standards, implementation of corrective measures, and resolution of discrepancies.
Candidate Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory.
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in governance, compliance, and documentation management, ideally within financial services or payment product environments.
- Exceptional detail orientation complemented by a systematic and methodical working style.
- Strong skills in reviewing and interpreting contracts, partner agreements, and compliance reports.
- Excellent communication abilities coupled with proven proficiency in managing and persuading stakeholders effectively.
- A tenacious and proactive attitude capable of maintaining rigorous control standards while nurturing collaborative professional relationships.
- Comfortable operating within card product teams and directly supporting senior leadership roles.
