Role Overview
This part-time, remote position as Head of PMO / PMO Lead at c't magazin entails developing, guiding, and improving the Project Management Office (PMO) functions. The individual will define project governance, enforce standards, and implement best practices organization-wide while overseeing a portfolio of projects aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple programs and project activities, supporting project leads in planning and execution phases.
- Track project milestones and budgets, preparing comprehensive status reports and dashboards for leadership review.
- Facilitate communication with stakeholders, managing risks and interdependencies among projects.
- Promote collaboration across cross-functional teams and mentor project managers on methodologies and tools.
- Drive continuous process improvements and provide data-driven insights to aid decision-making.
Qualifications
- Competence in program management, including portfolio management and setting organizational standards.
- Strong analytical aptitude for interpreting data, tracking key performance indicators, and assessing project outcomes.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills across diverse teams and leadership.
- Experience with budgeting: planning, monitoring, and reporting financials to optimize resource usage.
- Leadership skills to cultivate teamwork and ongoing enhancement of PMO capabilities.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models, and familiarity with PM software tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication for conveying complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote setup, juggling priorities with dependability.
- Educational background including a bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, or related disciplines; advanced degrees or certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 are favorable.
- Experience within publishing, media, or technology sectors is a plus.
