Director of Sales – AI and Telecom Solutions, Middle East

Overview

The Director of Sales for AI and Telecom Solutions in the Middle East will spearhead regional sales efforts, focusing on driving AI-enhanced customer engagement and decision intelligence platform adoption among enterprises. This role demands expert knowledge in AI/ML SaaS products, digital transformation strategies, and consultative sales across telecommunications, banking and financial services, and related sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire sales process for AI-based solutions addressing customer engagement and decision intelligence, from prospecting to meeting sales targets.
• Articulate the value of AI functionalities such as predictive analytics, decision engines, real-time personalization, and automation to address critical business challenges.
• Engage with senior-level executives including CMOs, Chief Digital Officers, heads of analytics, and product leaders to present ROI-centered value propositions.
• Lead discovery sessions to evaluate client data sophistication, AI adoption plans, and use case needs.
• Exhibit comprehensive domain expertise in AI/ML applications pertinent to telecom, BFSI, including churn management, cross-selling, up-selling, next-best-action frameworks, and revenue growth strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams—product management, pre-sales, and data scientists—to tailor AI-driven solutions.
• Design and implement a robust regional sales strategy emphasizing AI transformation projects.
• Prepare customer-focused proposals, including SaaS, subscription, and outcome-based pricing models.
• Conduct product demos, presentations, and detailed proposal discussions with enterprise clients.
• Build and nurture relationships with senior executives within target accounts to foster trust and business continuity.
• Utilize partnerships with system integrators, consulting firms, and other regional stakeholders to expedite business opportunities and contract closures.
• Lead negotiations related to commercial agreements covering SaaS licenses, data utilization, cloud deployments, and pricing linked to performance metrics.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing controls, and legal standards throughout the sales cycle.

Experience and Qualifications

• MBA or an equivalent advanced degree from a reputable institution.
• At least 10 years of enterprise solution sales experience, specifically with AI/ML SaaS platforms, analytics products, or digital transformation offerings.
• Significant experience engaging telecom operators and BFSI sector enterprises; familiarity with customer engagement and marketing automation platforms is advantageous.
• Proven track record in client-facing roles at leading technology or AI solution companies.
• In-depth knowledge of AI/ML use cases relevant to telecom, BFSI, and digital sectors.
• Understanding of data platforms, analytics tools, and customer engagement systems such as OSS/BSS, IN, and CLM.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into effective AI-driven solutions.

• Position location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is preferred.
