Founded in 2020 under DayBlink Ventures, DayBlink GPO specializes in managing supplier relationships for independent luxury hotels globally. We support over 1,100+ hotels by leveraging collective purchasing power to negotiate competitive contracts with leading suppliers such as Leading Hotels of the World, IDeaS, Hotelbeds, and others, empowering hotels to focus on exceptional guest experiences.
Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Business Development Director to expand DayBlink GPO’s presence within the independent luxury hotel sector. This role involves crafting commercial strategies, growing membership, and fostering partnerships between luxury hotels and our curated supplier network. The position demands excellent communication, proactive relationship-building, and readiness to travel domestically and internationally to boutique luxury hotels.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute strategies to rapidly increase membership of independent luxury hotels, consistently achieving ambitious enrollment targets.
- Develop and maintain a qualified prospect pipeline via targeted outreach, strong industry networking, and ongoing engagement across luxury hospitality stakeholders.
- Lead consultative commercial discussions with hotel executives to clearly convey the benefits of DayBlink GPO membership and negotiated supplier agreements.
- Drive supplier partner adoption by facilitating effective onboarding and supporting client success to ensure continued engagement.
- Identify new potential markets and clients including luxury independent hotels, hotel chains, and management companies.
- Establish Salesforce reporting and workflow systems for tracking pipeline health and commercial success metrics.
- Lead and grow a business development team, setting objectives, monitoring performance, and coaching for optimal results as the team expands in 2027.
- Partner with senior leadership to refine business development approaches, deliver market insights, and enhance competitive positioning.
- Represent the company at industry events, building long-term relationships with senior hotel and supplier stakeholders to raise brand recognition and uncover new opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of sales or business development experience, preferably within startups or high-growth businesses.
- Proven success in achieving commercial goals and negotiating contracts with senior hotel decision-makers.
- Deep knowledge of hospitality industry commercial practices including distribution, OTA strategies, digital marketing, and relevant technology platforms (PMS, RMS, CRM).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of building and sustaining trusted relationships internally and externally.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership, detail orientation, and ability to operate independently in an ambiguous environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Salesforce including dashboard creation and pipeline management.
- Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
Preferred Experience
- History of early promotions and notable achievements with sample work demonstrating excellence.
- Direct experience selling hospitality technology, digital marketing, or OS&E supplier solutions.
- Multilingual capabilities to support interactions with global hotel partners.
- Extensive networking and industry presence fostering relationship development.
Compensation & Location
- Remote role with preference for candidates located on the US East Coast.
- Base salary ranging from $100,000 to $110,000 annually.
- Variable pay up to 100% of base salary, dependent on hotel membership growth, supplier adoption, and team performance metrics.
