Role Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented National Sales Director to lead our Canadian operations. Reporting to the VP of Sales for North America, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing the national sales strategy, growing revenues across market segments, and managing a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a national sales strategy to accelerate revenue growth, expand market share, and ensure long-term business success throughout Canada.
- Translate the sales strategy into actionable priorities for the Canadian sales team.
- Lead, mentor, and nurture a high-performing sales force fostering accountability, collaboration, customer-centricity, trust, and continuous improvement while supporting talent development and succession planning.
- Achieve annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue targets across all product lines, including strategic SaaS solutions.
- Set performance goals, monitor sales effectiveness, and hold teams accountable for pipeline development, forecast accuracy, and results.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with the company’s objectives and evolving customer and market needs.
- Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and strategies to strengthen Genetec’s presence across Canada.
- Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with customers, channel partners, consultants, technology partners, industry associations, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing, product management, customer experience, and other cross-functional teams to maximize results and shape product strategies through market insights.
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitive activity, industry developments, and customer requirements to guide strategic decisions and competitive positioning.
- Ensure effective execution of channel programs, partner engagement, project registration, and sales best practices.
- Lead forecasting, business planning, budgeting, territory design, and resource allocation while providing regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Maintain operational excellence and data integrity via effective CRM and sales tool usage.
- Align Canadian market priorities with corporate goals, maintaining strong collaboration with North American and corporate leadership.
- Approve strategic account plans, pricing, and commercial initiatives supporting company growth objectives.
- Promote continuous improvement, sustainable growth, and a culture of high performance and collaboration.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Over 10 years of sales experience in technology, software, SaaS, or physical security industries.
- At least 5 years leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Proven history of exceeding revenue targets and driving sales growth.
- Experience in defining and executing sales strategies and go-to-market plans.
- Strong leadership and coaching capabilities.
- Experienced in building executive-level relationships with customers and partners.
- Excellent business acumen, strategic mindset, and decision-making skills.
- Top-notch communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Located in a major Canadian metropolitan area, preferably Toronto or Montreal.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is a significant advantage.
- Valid passport and driver's license with availability for up to 75% travel.
Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of IP technologies, networking, and enterprise IT environments.
- Experience with cloud and SaaS solutions.
- Track record supporting deployment, implementation of solutions, and associated change management initiatives.
- Ability to design, position, and support complex enterprise solutions and large-scale system deployments.
- Strong proficiency with system integrations, solution architectures, and technology ecosystems.
- Skilled at communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
