About the Role
The Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) oversees the regulation and supervision of financial service providers operating within the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) conformed to a risk-based framework. This vacancy in the Supervision Department emphasizes close monitoring of banks, insurance companies, money service providers, and capital markets intermediaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the achievement of both short- and long-term objectives for the Supervision Section.
- Contribute to developing, enhancing, and executing supervisory frameworks, policies, rules, and procedures governing financial entities.
- Monitor firms' adherence to applicable regulations and conduct periodic risk assessments under supervisor guidance.
- Craft and implement supervisory work plans, including planning reviews and issuing recommendations.
- Evaluate prudential conditions and business practices of assigned institutions, including financial crime prevention compliance.
- Address identified deficiencies proactively and follow up until resolved.
- Maintain effective working relationships with regulated organizations and internal/external stakeholders.
- Help enforce policies and document processes for assigned firms.
- Collaborate with other FSRA departments and participate in relevant projects as assigned.
- Uphold ADGM Information Security policy by applying best practice controls and safeguarding data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Risk Management, Law, or related fields are advantageous.
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in financial supervision or related financial sectors, ideally including the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of insurance regulations, products, market practices, and financial crime prevention protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in business English; proficiency in Arabic or knowledge of Arabic culture considered a plus.
- Demonstrated capability in planning, organization, analysis, teamwork, negotiation, and influencing others.
- Possesses a results-driven mindset, integrity, responsibility, and eagerness to develop new skills both technically and behaviorally.
