Business Analyst

Overview

This long-term contract position for a Business Analyst is based in Houston, TX. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or have valid authorization to work in the U.S.

Role Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements utilizing Agile methodologies and various tools. Employ AI technologies to expedite documentation, generate process summaries, and ensure requirement consistency.
• Identify true business requirements beyond initial user requests, using AI-driven analysis to detect patterns and reveal hidden dependencies.
• Analyze data from diverse sources, resolve discrepancies, and secure stakeholder approval, leveraging AI for gap and impact analyses.
• Create detailed process diagrams and documentation for current and future states; use AI to aid in process automation analysis, optimization, and diagram creation.
• Develop testing strategies including comprehensive test plans, scripts, and scenarios, utilizing AI tools to accelerate test case development and improve coverage.
• Conduct functional, regression, and user acceptance testing to confirm solutions meet requirements and business goals.
• Diagnose deployment and environment issues using AI for root cause analysis and recommending resolutions.
• Assess business processes and systems to identify improvement opportunities, using AI-empowered analytics and benchmarking for solution evaluation.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand operations and challenges, facilitating transitions and supporting quality assurance and development teams.
• Promote continuous learning and adoption of AI tools and automation techniques relevant to business analysis and testing.
• Support IT project processes following Agile best practices enhanced by AI workflow tools.
• Assist in data conversion tasks, defining data models, and use AI to validate data structures, mappings, and quality issues.
• Perform additional duties to align with business and corporate strategic objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a related four-year degree.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience leveraging AI tools for business analysis tasks such as requirements gathering, documentation, process analysis, or test automation.
• Demonstrated ability to create thorough test plans, scripts, and scenarios.
• Experience with application testing methodologies including functional, regression, and UAT.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience in industries such as field service, construction, or industrial sectors.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing solutions including automated test generation and intelligent test coverage analysis.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
