Role overview

Goldman Sachs Asset Management combines traditional and alternative investment capabilities to serve institutions, financial advisors, and individuals around the world. Within the firm’s core investing platform, the Growth Equity team focuses on technology-led businesses across sectors such as enterprise technology, financial technology, and healthcare. Since 2003, the group has deployed over $16 billion into growth-stage companies and operates with a lean team of more than 65 professionals.

The role is based in London and is intended for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and wants to build a long-term career in growth equity investing.

What the role involves

  • Researching, sourcing, and assessing potential investment themes and opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with founders, management teams, senior advisors, and external subject-matter specialists.
  • Carrying out detailed due diligence on prospective investments.
  • Supporting financing and transaction execution through to closing.
  • Helping design, track, and implement value creation plans for portfolio companies.

Profile and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a strong academic and professional track record.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in an investment bank, strategy consulting firm, or investment-focused role, ideally with exposure to the technology sector.
  • A genuine interest in investing, with the motivation to grow and contribute over the long term at Goldman Sachs.
  • Strong preference for candidates with European language ability.
