Overview
Located in New York City, our client is a leading alternative investment firm seeking to appoint a Vice President in Strategic Business Operations. This pivotal role focuses on analyzing and driving strategic and operational changes within trading activities by collaborating closely with business leaders and executives to enhance trading processes and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee strategic initiatives, develop senior-level presentations, perform extensive analyses, and create decision-making frameworks to advance business transformation.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies through technology-driven solutions.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and leading metrics that align with organizational and corporate priorities.
- Spot improvement opportunities and recommend actionable solutions to realign business objectives effectively.
- Deliver comprehensive insights and analytics concerning the firm's trading operations and other strategic domains.
- Detect execution gaps and partner with senior leadership to implement corrective changes.
- Generate detailed reports related to compliance, regulatory, and risk management initiatives for senior management.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring organizational alignment and cohesion.
- Work jointly with business leaders to synchronize planning cycles.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the firm’s trading platform processes.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic business goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years professional experience, including 5 years focused on sales, strategy consulting, investment banking, hedge fund operations, trading, or related sectors.
- Superior analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities, accompanied by meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced critical thinking and quantitative expertise with the agility to rapidly acquire and create new data reports and analyses.
- Demonstrated capacity for creative problem-solving and robust financial modeling skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree such as an MBA is strongly favored.
- Proven results-driven mindset with the ability to initiate tasks and complete deliverables efficiently and on schedule.
- In-depth understanding of Private Equity, Alternative Asset Management, and/or Real Estate industries.
- Strong communication skills, able to convey complex financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences including non-financial stakeholders.
- Exemplary leadership qualities with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Outstanding presentation capabilities and the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
