The incumbent will drive initiatives that transform innovative products into impactful business results by leading monetization strategies, managing product lifecycles, enhancing go-to-market efficiency, and serving as the nucleus of product intelligence and CPO office operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the comprehensive monetization strategy, including pricing and packaging across product lines, focusing on customer value, competitive positioning, and margin growth.
- Develop frameworks based on usage economics and customer behavior to optimize revenue streams including new tiers, bundles, and usage-based models.
- Oversee product portfolio lifecycle from introduction to sunset, coordinating cross-functional efforts to ensure successful launches and smooth product retirements with customer-focused transition plans.
- Use data-driven insights to evaluate portfolio trends and inform decisions on product acceleration, rationalization, and discontinuation.
- Drive product intelligence efforts by analyzing P&L, ARR, customer acquisition costs, funnel metrics, and product usage to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Ensure efficient coordination with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align messaging, enablement, and field support for market success.
- Manage strategic partnerships and third-party integrations to identify and capitalize on new commercial opportunities.
- Act as the CPO’s strategic partner, managing operational rhythms, facilitating decision-making and communication, and spearheading key strategic initiatives including M&A support and organizational design.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 12 years experience in business strategy, product operations, or commercial leadership, with significant experience serving alongside C-suite executives.
- Proven expertise in monetization or pricing strategy, preferably within SaaS, platforms, or enterprise software sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in product financials, cohort analysis, and user engagement metrics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities, able to present complex concepts clearly to executive audiences.
- Skilled in fostering cross-functional collaboration and navigating ambiguity effectively.
- Highly organized and self-directed, adept at juggling multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with business intelligence tools and product analytics platforms is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or related field; MBA or advanced degree is favored.
- Consulting experience in pricing, strategy, or go-to-market roles is a notable advantage.
