About the Company
Our client is a family-operated, reputable nature park and visitor attraction located in the southeastern United States. The organization manages a destination property supported by hospitality and retail businesses and is actively expanding its services in multiple phases to improve visitor experiences.
Role Summary
Reporting directly to the President and COO, the Vice President of Marketing will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for formulating and executing marketing, innovation, and sales strategies across all business divisions. This role is crucial for managing brand identity, increasing visitor numbers, and driving overall revenue growth through consumer and market insights-driven integrated plans. This executive-level position has been created to facilitate the organization's upcoming growth stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive long-term marketing vision and brand strategy for the entire enterprise spanning all channels and business units.
- Lead unified marketing initiatives aimed at boosting visitor attendance, enhancing guest engagement, and increasing revenue with defined success metrics.
- Oversee the sales department, including group sales and partnerships, while steering a shift toward proactive outbound sales strategies.
- Drive innovation by identifying new guest experiences, additional revenue opportunities, and enhancements to the customer journey.
- Implement structured systems to collect and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Manage and allocate marketing and innovation budgets with a focus on strategic returns and value prioritization.
- Forge strategic alliances with tourism organizations, regional attractions, and media entities, serving as the company representative externally.
- Lead and shape the marketing and sales teams, including direct supervision of the sales leader.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are advantageous.
- At least ten years of progressive marketing leadership experience with executive oversight of multifunctional teams.
- Extensive background in tourism, hospitality, attractions, or consumer experience-driven industries is highly preferred.
- Proven success in achieving growth through data-driven brand and promotional strategies.
- Strong expertise in marketing analytics, customer insights, and performance evaluation.
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and leadership presentations.
- Valid driver's license and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel.
