Role Overview
We are seeking a Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communications to join a prominent construction and professional services firm experiencing significant expansion. This senior executive will be responsible for shaping the company’s brand strategy, marketing vision, and communications efforts, acting as the primary marketing representative at the enterprise level. The successful candidate will have a background in managing well-established, recognizable brands and expertise in scaling and evolving brand presence while generating measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine the enterprise-level brand strategy and long-term brand framework.
- Act as the primary custodian of the corporate brand throughout all customer and employee interactions.
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns, communication efforts, and pursuit planning.
- Oversee public relations, media relations, executive and internal communications, and crisis communication management.
- Guide thought leadership, content creation, advertising, and marketing campaigns.
- Enhance proposals, pursuit documents, and presentations to improve success rates.
- Collaborate with business development and operations to elevate client experiences.
- Provide strategic advice to executive leadership regarding market positioning and brand investment.
- Define key performance indicators and design reporting mechanisms to link marketing activities with business growth.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a large multi-disciplinary marketing team.
- Oversee marketing budgets, resources, and set strategic priorities.
Required Experience and Expertise
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive leadership in marketing, branding, and communications.
- Proven success leading marketing initiatives for large, national or global brands.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and scale enterprise brands.
- Executive leadership experience managing multi-functional marketing teams, including director-level staff and above.
- Strong skills in brand strategy, integrated marketing, communications, content development, digital marketing, and enhancing client experiences.
- Executive presence with strong ability to influence C-suite stakeholders.
- Experience connecting brand investments to tangible business results.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise marketing budgets.
- Excellent collaboration skills across functions such as operations, human resources, business development, and executive leadership.
- Familiarity with marketing technology platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools, and AI-driven marketing solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within Fortune 500 companies or highly recognized consumer or B2B brands.
- Background in professional services, consulting, engineering, architecture, construction or related industries.
- Prior roles at the Vice President or Senior Director level with similar responsibilities.
- Expertise in employer branding and internal communications.
- Skills in crisis communication and executive-level communications.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Background in thought leadership and media relations.
- Exposure to leading marketing teams through periods of rapid growth and transformation.
