About Fresh Kitchen
Fresh Kitchen is revolutionizing fast food by offering authentic, homemade meals crafted with high-quality ingredients including 100% pure olive oil (no seed oils), hand-cut vegetables, antibiotic- and hormone-free meats, responsibly sourced seafood, and entirely gluten-free recipes. Our philosophy is captured in the slogan 'Good Food Forever.' With an ambitious goal of establishing 100 exceptional restaurants by 2034, we focus equally on excellent food quality, strong cultural values, and superior performance. We seek leaders passionate about building enduring brands.
Role Overview
The Vice President of Marketing will have full responsibility for shaping and advancing the Fresh Kitchen brand throughout Florida and beyond. Your leadership will define brand energy, increase awareness, drive customer visits, boost frequency, and cultivate loyalty. You'll manage a marketing team and external partners to ensure a consistent and engaging guest experience across every brand touchpoint.
Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the executive team, you will oversee two direct reports: a Digital Marketing Manager and a PR & Communications Manager, alongside agencies and freelancers handling creative, social media, and media buying. You will develop and control the marketing budget from planning through reporting, delivering clear insight into how marketing investment translates into brand strength, guest traffic, and revenues.
This position requires residency within the Florida market with occasional commuting to Tampa as necessary.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the brand's positioning, audience targeting, tone, and visual identity, maintaining design standards across digital platforms, campaigns, packaging, and guest materials to ensure consistency as the brand grows.
- Strategically oversee guest acquisition, conversion, retention, and lifetime value through all digital channels including SEO, SEM, AI discovery, paid media, website, app, digital ordering, loyalty programs, email, and SMS marketing.
- Drive segmentation, personalization, frequency, and reactivation strategies to enhance guest value and retention; collaborate with IT and technology vendors to optimize digital ordering and loyalty experiences.
- Own social media strategy across organic and paid content, community management, influencer engagements, and strategic partnerships; direct brand storytelling and content calendar creation to deliver compelling marketing moments.
- Develop and implement local marketing plans for new restaurant launches and for supporting underperforming locations, leveraging experiential marketing tactics like seeding, sampling, activations, and partnerships to encourage trial and advocacy.
- Lead public relations, manage brand communication strategies including crisis management, and oversee online reputation monitoring and response standards.
- Manage guest experience and commercial outcomes for first-party ordering as well as third-party marketplaces and digital commerce platforms.
- Build and manage a high-performing marketing team and oversee agency and freelance partnerships; maintain clear strategic direction, budget control, and performance measurement, reporting results to executive leadership.
Expected Outcomes
- Year-over-year growth across third-party and Olo digital sales channels with sound economics.
- Expansion of social media reach, engagement, followers, and measurable growth in audience interaction.
- Increased loyalty program membership, sales contribution from loyalty members, and enhanced guest conversion rates.
- Growth in app downloads and usage reflecting higher guest engagement.
- Local marketing plans aligned with store openings that meet traffic and sales objectives within the first three months.
- Consistent brand presentation across all guest touchpoints as Fresh Kitchen enters new markets.
Qualifications and Success Factors
- Proven marketing leadership experience in growing restaurant, hospitality, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
- Energetic, curious, culturally attuned, and genuinely passionate about restaurants and emerging brands.
- Entrepreneurially minded and hands-on, adept at balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.
- Exceptional creative judgment and a keen eye for design, photography, content development, and brand experiences.
- Demonstrated success in growing distinct brands while driving tangible traffic, frequency, and revenue growth.
- Expertise in brand building as well as growth marketing domains including digital acquisition, loyalty, social media, local marketing, and communications.
- Experienced in team leadership, managing agencies, and owning marketing budgets with accountability for ROI.
- Strong collaborator capable of working across Operations, Culinary, Development, and senior leadership.
- Data-driven decision maker, comfortable using analytics to evaluate and improve marketing performance and investment prioritization.
Benefits and Culture
- Competitive salary with annual bonus and equity opportunities.
- Affordable group health, vision, dental plans, and 401(k) matching.
- Structured career development with an emphasis on leadership growth.
- Complimentary Fresh Kitchen meals.
- Values-driven company culture focused on employee wellbeing.
- Office closure for nine holidays annually to enable quality family and personal time.
- Progressive paid time off and balanced scheduling commitment, with a maximum 50-hour workweek.
- An iconic brand known for quality food and a compelling identity that employees take pride in representing.
