Position Overview
This role is offered by a partner company managing all recruitment processes. The company seeks a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis based in Ireland. This leadership position involves heading the FP&A function for a rapidly expanding global technology firm functioning in a fully remote setup. Collaborating closely with the CFO and senior executives, the VP FP&A will steer financial strategies, support sustained growth, and deliver insightful data analyses that influence major business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the global FP&A team, offering strategic financial guidance across international units and business sectors.
- Develop and refine financial models, budgets, forecasts, and long-term planning tools that facilitate steady growth.
- Produce in-depth financial analysis, KPI tracking, business performance reporting, and scenario evaluations for executive leadership.
- Work in partnership with the CFO and senior leaders on strategic planning, capital deployment, investments, and merger & acquisition activities.
- Establish and maintain solid relationships with investors and important stakeholders through executive-level reporting and board presentations.
- Drive initiatives to continuously improve financial reporting, analytics, planning processes, and operational effectiveness using data-driven approaches.
- Lead and develop a high-achieving FP&A team, fostering collaboration, responsibility, and professional advancement in a remote work environment.
- Support key organizational decisions by identifying financial risks, uncovering opportunities, and championing initiatives for long-term value creation.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in financial planning and analysis, including at least 5 years at senior leadership level.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related discipline; advanced qualifications such as MBA or CPA are highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in high-growth, global software, technology, fintech, SaaS, or payments companies.
- Background working with private equity-backed enterprises and directly engaging with investors and senior leadership.
- Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic financial analysis.
- Superior communication and presentation abilities, capable of delivering insights effectively to boards, investors, and executives.
- Experience managing distributed finance teams and nurturing top financial talent in remote settings.
- Strong analytical skills, business insight, problem-solving aptitude, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborative leadership style with excellent stakeholder engagement, organizational capabilities, and a strong sense of ownership.
