Overview
Join iCapital's Corporate Finance team as a Strategic Finance Associate or Assistant Vice President, taking on vital roles in financial and managerial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and key performance analysis. This position involves coordinating with business and department leaders to refine decision-making, reporting to the Senior Vice President, Business Controller.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting critical company financial indicators with focus on revenue, expenses, sales efforts, and GAAP/Non-GAAP measures, collaborating closely with FP&A and business leaders.
- Contribute to the development of the annual budget process, emphasizing revenue, costs, sales operations, and client-level detail.
- Create detailed financial and operational metrics and analytics for management committees and business heads.
- Coordinate with FP&A to devise customized business performance metrics, client analyses, budgets, and forecasts.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting frameworks and develop innovative methods to assess business outcomes.
- Partner with FP&A and sales teams to analyze monthly budget versus actual variances and provide insightful reporting.
- Perform sales analytics to underpin growth strategies of the iCapital Solutions division.
- Support monthly and quarterly management reporting, including financial consolidation, variance analysis, and KPI compilation.
- Detect and address process weaknesses, implement robust internal controls, and improve documentation practices.
- Contribute to ad hoc initiatives such as implementing new software, automating reports, and enhancing financial planning tools.
Qualifications
- Between 3 to over 6 years of experience in FP&A, corporate or strategic finance, or accounting within financial services or a leading firm.
- Familiarity with private market investments like private equity, hedge funds, or structured investments preferred.
- Experience with planning and ERP software such as WorkDay Adaptive, Tableau, Essbase, and familiarity with ERP and General Ledger systems like Oracle NetSuite, PeopleSoft, or Axiom is advantageous.
- Proven ability to work alongside business and sales leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and complex analytics.
- Advanced educational qualifications or certifications such as MBA, CPA, or CFA are desirable.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with strong organizational, quantitative modeling, and strategic thinking skillset.
- Capability to manage large data volumes with effective control procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with attention to detail and a broad perspective.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for the role spans from $100,000 to $140,000 annually. The comprehensive compensation package includes base salary, equity participation for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Work Environment
This role is structured as a hybrid position, with office presence required Monday through Thursday and remote work flexibility on Fridays.
