Role Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Vice President of Finance to lead and evolve BlueThrone's financial operations. This position entails end-to-end responsibility for financial planning, analysis, capital allocation, and reporting across multiple countries. The VP Finance will work directly with company founders and senior leadership to base decisions on rigorous financial analysis rather than intuition.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the group’s comprehensive financial model, budget plans, and continuous forecasts.
• Translate portfolio-wide app metrics into actionable unit economics including lifetime value, payback periods, cohort profitability, and return on ad spend.
• Collaborate with founders and the COO on capital distribution decisions for investments and acquisitions.
• Establish and communicate key performance indicators to measure financial and operational success.
• Lead financial due diligence and underwriting for merger and acquisition opportunities.
• Construct financial models for deal structuring to assist negotiations and closures.
• Oversee integration of acquired apps' finances into the organization's consolidated reporting.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, orchestrate debt structuring and refinancing to support acquisitions.
• Direct investor communications, board-level financial reporting, and assist future funding procedures.
• Supervise group financial consolidation and compliance across diverse entities and jurisdictions.
• Control treasury functions including cash flow management, collections, payments processing, internal controls, and authorization protocols.
• Drive tax strategy and compliance efforts involving transfer pricing, VAT, withholding taxes, and cross-border structures.
• Ensure continuous audit readiness and maintain compliance with all legal and financial regulatory requirements.
• Lead and mentor the finance department including the group controller and office manager, fostering expansion as business scales.
• Cultivate an organizational culture centered on transparency, responsibility, and teamwork within a fully remote global environment.

Candidate Profile

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is required.
• Extensive background in mobile app industry finance or consumer/tech B2B subscription models.
• Deep expertise in financial planning, analysis, and controlling across international multi-jurisdictional entities.
• Strong command of international financial and legal frameworks related to multi-entity operations.
• Skilled in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic business planning.
• Detail-focused with a hands-on approach to financial work beyond oversight.
• Excellent communicator adept at working in asynchronous, cross-continental teams.
• Innovative mindset, ability to construct new systems and frameworks where needed.
• Legal education or professional experience in law is advantageous.
• Flexible working hours to coordinate with teams primarily between Asia and Europe time zones.

Communication Lines

• Will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer.
• Reports directly to the company founders.
• Maintains a close working relationship with the Chief Operating Officer.
• Acts as external liaison for investors, banks, regulatory bodies, and service vendors.
