Role Overview

We are seeking an ambitious VP of Finance who is eager to face challenges and help steer BlueThrone’s next phase of growth. This is a hands-on leadership position working directly with founders and the executive team, managing all financial operations and ensuring decisions are data-driven.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and oversee the comprehensive group financial model, budgeting processes, and rolling forecasts.
Convert portfolio application data into actionable unit economics metrics such as lifetime value, payback period, cohort profitability, and return on ad spend.
Collaborate closely with founders and the COO on capital deployment decisions including investment prioritization and acquisition qualification.
Establish and track key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of financial models.
Lead financial underwriting and thorough due diligence for prospective acquisitions, model deal structures, and support deal negotiations through closure.
Manage financial integration of acquired applications post-acquisition.
Maintain and cultivate relationships with banks and lending institutions, managing debt financing arrangements to facilitate acquisitions.
Lead investor board communications and participate in processes preparing for future fundraising rounds.
Oversee financial consolidation and reporting spanning multiple legal entities and jurisdictions globally.
Manage cash flow, collections, payment systems, treasury functions, internal controls, and signatory authorizations.
Direct tax compliance and strategy operations, including transfer pricing, VAT, withholding tax, and cross-border structuring.
Ensure ongoing financial audit readiness and conduct legal and financial reporting to relevant local authorities and regulatory bodies.
Supervise and mentor finance staff, including the group controller and office manager, scaling the team as the company grows.
Foster a culture of transparency, responsibility, and teamwork within the globally distributed, fully remote finance function.

Qualifications & Experience

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is mandatory.
Extensive relevant experience in mobile applications, consumer subscription models, or B2B tech subscription enterprises.
Demonstrated expertise in FP&A and controlling across multiple international jurisdictions.
Strong proficiency in managing international financial and legal aspects of multi-entity organizations.
Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning skills.
Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail—actively engaging in financial work rather than just oversight.
Excellent communication skills, especially within remote, global, asynchronous teams.
Innovative mindset focused on establishing systems and frameworks where none currently exist.
Legal academic background or legal work experience is considered an advantage.
Flexibility to collaborate across time zones primarily spanning Asia and Europe.

Direct collaboration with the CFO.
Reports directly to the company founders.
Close partnership with the COO.
External engagement with investors, banks, regulatory authorities, and service providers.
