Overview
The Vice President of Enterprise Delivery Excellence is a senior leadership role accountable for devising and executing the organization's overarching delivery excellence strategy. This includes setting governance frameworks, operational benchmarks, and fostering continuous advancement efforts. The goal is to ensure uniform, superior-quality project, program, professional service, customer implementation, and transformation initiative delivery while optimizing operations, elevating client satisfaction, and supporting sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise delivery excellence strategies aligned with corporate goals and strategic plans.
- Establish standardized delivery frameworks, governance protocols, quality criteria, and operational best practices organization-wide.
- Promote a culture centered on execution excellence, accountability, ongoing improvement, and customer-focused delivery.
- Coordinate delivery capabilities to support enterprise transformation and growth objectives.
- Lead enterprise PMO governance, standardize delivery methodologies, and enforce portfolio execution protocols.
- Monitor delivery maturity by applying robust governance and operational controls across the enterprise.
- Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, SAFe, and continuous improvement projects to enhance operations.
- Optimize delivery workflows, resource allocation, and reduce risks while improving quality and operational efficiency.
- Champion automation, AI-enabled processes, and smart delivery operations.
- Oversee large-scale initiatives such as digital transformation, modernization, customer implementations, and organizational changes.
- Ensure program and project deliveries meet time, budget, quality, and compliance criteria.
- Measure delivery performance enterprise-wide using KPIs including project success, customer satisfaction, utilization rates, and financial outcomes.
- Create executive dashboards and leverage predictive analytics to inform leadership decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Technology, Product Management, Customer Success, Finance, Sales, HR, and Strategy units for cohesive enterprise execution.
- Provide leadership to directors and managers across PMO, delivery, transformation, and operational excellence teams through mentorship and succession planning.
- Manage budgets, technology investments, consultancy engagements, and vendor relations strategically.
- Represent the delivery function in executive and board meetings, presenting performance insights and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Advanced degrees such as an MBA or Master's preferred.
- Certifications like PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, SAFe, Agile, ITIL or equivalents are advantageous.
- Extensive leadership experience (15–20+ years) in enterprise delivery, program and portfolio management, operations, consulting, and transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to govern large-scale delivery operations and drive transformational change.
- Strong skills in communication, strategic planning, financial oversight, and stakeholder management.
