Role Summary

The Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Planning is responsible for leading the creation, implementation, and oversight of the enterprise's strategic initiatives and business plans. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, this position serves as a trusted advisor for executive leadership, collaborating across the company to guide long-term growth, assess opportunities, and align priorities. Using data-driven insights, market analysis, and strategic recommendations, the role supports informed decision-making and sustainable competitive advantage.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead formulation of enterprise-wide and divisional strategies, spanning business, financial, growth, organizational, and capability objectives.
• Develop and oversee the Enterprise Strategy framework and planning procedures.
• Create strategic analyses, business cases, and analytical models to guide key business decisions.
• Track progress toward strategic goals and suggest adjustments as necessary.
• Prepare executive presentations and deliverables to facilitate alignment and decision-making.
• Direct formulation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for board approval and enhance the AOP process.
• Lead the Enterprise Growth Strategy and participate in growth planning activities.
• Assess market opportunities and diversification strategies.
• Collaborate with Corporate Communications to clarify and communicate strategic priorities and progress to stakeholders.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing strategy team fostering a culture of rigor, innovation, and collaboration.
• Manage relationships with external strategy consultants to ensure quality and value in initiatives.
• Lead development of market, industry, and competitive intelligence capabilities.
• Act as the liaison for strategy with peer organizations, strategic partners, and subsidiaries like AmeriHealth Caritas and Tandigm.
• Drive special projects and strategic initiatives as directed by the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred (MBA, MPH, MPA, or related).
• Over 10 years of experience in strategy, consulting, or healthcare with progressive responsibility.
• Proven leadership in mid to large organizations, with success in building and guiding high-performing teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare and payer business models.
• Demonstrated effectiveness leading enterprise-wide strategic planning in complex environments.
• Strong analytical capabilities, communication skills, and executive-level presentation proficiency.
• Ability to foster cross-functional alignment and execute strategic initiatives.

Work Model and Location

This role follows a hybrid work model with in-office presence required three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) and remote work permitted two days (Monday and Friday). All work must be conducted within the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania.
