Role Summary

The Vice President of Marketing Operations will own the strategic design and day-to-day running of the marketing operations function. The role focuses on creating scalable processes, improving campaign performance, managing marketing systems, strengthening analytics, and supporting measurable business growth.

In close partnership with Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Product, Technology, Finance, Compliance, and executive leaders, this leader will build operating structures that increase efficiency, improve acquisition, strengthen brand impact, and advance broader business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and implement marketing operations strategies that support business priorities and growth plans.
  • Create scalable operating models, workflows, and performance frameworks for the marketing function.
  • Define governance standards, process controls, and best-practice procedures for marketing operations.

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Standardize campaign processes to increase speed, quality, and consistency.
  • Oversee campaign planning calendars, execution steps, and results tracking.
  • Use data analysis to identify ways to improve campaign impact.
  • Drive implementation, optimization, and administration of marketing technology tools.
  • Manage marketing automation, CRM connectivity, lead handling, and campaign analytics systems.
  • Increase platform adoption and operational productivity across marketing teams.
  • Assess new technologies that can improve marketing outcomes.
  • Build dashboards, reporting structures, and measurement systems for marketing performance.
  • Review customer acquisition, campaign ROI, conversion performance, and marketing efficiency.
  • Share data-based recommendations and insights with executive leadership.
  • Define KPIs that show how marketing contributes to business growth.
  • Improve lead generation workflows and marketing-to-sales handoffs.
  • Enhance lead qualification, nurturing, scoring, and conversion practices.
  • Partner with Sales Operations to improve pipeline contribution.
  • Develop approaches that increase acquisition efficiency.
  • Manage marketing operations budgets, resources, and strategic spending decisions.
  • Optimize budget allocation and vendor oversight.
  • Create forecasting models and reporting for marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure marketing resources are used effectively to maximize business impact.
  • Work across Sales, Business Development, Product, Client Services, Finance, Technology, Compliance, and Operations.
  • Align marketing execution with commercial targets and customer requirements.
  • Support product launches, market expansion, and growth programs.
  • Improve cross-functional communication and operational alignment.
  • Set operational controls, documentation standards, and process discipline for marketing.
  • Make sure marketing activity follows company policies and relevant regulatory obligations.
  • Improve transparency, reporting quality, and execution discipline.
  • Promote accountability and a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, coach, and guide a strong Marketing Operations team.
  • Set team goals, performance expectations, and development plans.
  • Encourage innovation, teamwork, and operational excellence.
  • Support organizational growth through strong talent development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or a related discipline; MBA is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of progressive leadership experience in marketing operations, growth operations, revenue operations, financial services, fintech, SaaS, or technology environments.
  • Proven success in building scalable marketing operations in fast-growing organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing automation, CRM platforms, analytics tools, and campaign management.
  • Ability to use data and technology to improve marketing performance.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and project management abilities.
  • Experience in fintech, blockchain, digital assets, capital markets, or institutional financial services is preferred.
  • Exposure to B2B marketing and institutional client acquisition is preferred.
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation systems, CRM ecosystems, and business intelligence tools is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of lifecycle management and demand generation strategies is preferred.
