Role Summary

The Vice President of Service Operations is a full-time remote leadership position accountable for improving and overseeing service delivery across all customer groups. This person will direct the day-to-day functioning of service teams, maintain high support standards, strengthen operational performance, and drive ongoing improvement in systems and processes. The role also includes setting service benchmarks, tracking operational results, managing budgets, and ensuring service operations support the company’s sustainability-oriented direction. The VP will work closely with leaders across the business to improve customer experience, execute strategic programs, and increase efficiency. In addition, this leader will coach managers, encourage accountability and innovation, and participate in executive-level planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Strong ability to analyze information, assess performance, and use insights to support operational decisions.
  • Demonstrated success in improving customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and relationship management.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing managers, developing talent, and guiding strong teams.
  • Solid experience in budgeting and financial oversight for service operations, with an emphasis on controlling costs and creating value.
  • Background in strategic planning, including defining long-term service goals and aligning work with organizational priorities.
  • Broad experience in service operations or a related area, preferably in energy, sustainability, or technology-focused environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations management, or a similar field; an advanced degree is beneficial.
  • Comfortable working remotely in a digitally enabled setting, with strong organization and decision-making skills.
