Role Overview

We are seeking a Temporary Traffic Management CAD Designer to join our team in Birmingham with hybrid working options. This role offers a competitive salary based on experience and numerous benefits.

About the Company

Consilium Technical Services specializes in Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) design for various road types across the UK. They utilize the latest industry software and standards to deliver high-quality designs. Services include vehicle swept path analysis, consultancy, RRRAP assessments, BIM/3D design, and traffic modeling, collaborating with clients from initial planning phases through implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Create compliant, high-quality Temporary Traffic Management CAD designs ranging from 2D street works to 3D/BIM layouts for high-speed dual carriageways.
  • Manage designs from initial brief to final issue ensuring adherence to standards and regulations while coordinating with Operation Leads.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide technical support.
  • Maintain precise internal design records and documentation.
  • Conduct design risk assessments and aid in developing safer traffic management solutions.

Working Hours

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is organized, self-driven, and an effective communicator comfortable engaging with clients and team members. Capable of working efficiently under deadlines and adapting to shifting priorities while maintaining high accuracy and presentation quality. Committed to safety and compliance and eager to learn and improve processes.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven background as a CAD design technician.
  • Experience in temporary traffic management design or related installation roles.
  • Knowledgeable of applicable industry standards and guidelines.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civils, BricsCAD, Cone, AutoTURN, KeyLines, and KeySigns software.
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with BIM and 3D design.
  • Possession or pursuit of an IHE Temporary Traffic Management Certificate.
