Role Overview
Join Chevron Traffic Management as a Low Speed Traffic Management Operative based in Salford, Greater Manchester. This position involves ensuring safety and efficient traffic flow through installation and maintenance of traffic management equipment, with opportunities for career growth in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out traffic counting and compile data to assist clients and subcontractors in maintaining smooth traffic operations.
- Maintain and service temporary traffic lights to guarantee safe and effective traffic control.
- Set up, manage, and dismantle temporary traffic management setups including cones, signs, frames, and sandbags.
- Provide guidance and training support to newly onboarded trainees to enhance team capability.
Candidate Requirements
- Must possess relevant certifications such as M1, M2, M3, M5, M6, M7, and UNIT 2 SLG.
- Knowledge of Chapter 8 traffic management regulations is essential.
- Valid full driving license with no more than 6 penalty points and any driving bans expired at least 5 years prior.
- Mandatory passing of drug and alcohol screening as a condition of employment.
- Strong positive attitude, adaptability, flexibility, and great attention to detail required.
- Availability to work variable hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and willingness to travel or stay away during peak periods.
- Agreement to training conditions for Traffic Management Techniques.
