Role Overview
Join Chevron Traffic Management in Somerton as a qualified Traffic Management Operative, where maintaining safety during roadworks is paramount. The position is full-time onsite, with guaranteed 48 hours per week plus opportunities for overtime, and requires flexibility including weekend work.
Work Schedule and Flexibility
Typical shifts occur during the day; however, candidates must be open to working evenings, nights, weekends, and potentially away assignments during busy periods. Participation in an on-call rotation is expected, especially for those with access to a company van.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must hold M1/M2 Lantra qualifications or higher; other qualifications such as M3 to M6 or SLG Unit 2 are also considered.
- Familiarity with Chapter 8 traffic management regulations is essential.
- Possession of a full driving license with fewer than six penalty points; any driving bans must have ended at least five years ago.
- Candidates must successfully pass drug and alcohol screening before employment.
- Demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude, attention to detail, adaptability, and flexibility.
- Willingness to mentor and assist new trainees as part of the role.
- Signing a training agreement may be required for additional training.
