CAD Technician - Traffic Signs and Road Marking

Job Overview

We are looking for a proficient and experienced CAD Technician specializing in Traffic Signs and Road Marking projects to strengthen our team based in Doha, Qatar. The role involves producing detailed drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D while adhering to project requirements, industry standards, and ISO 19650 protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality drawings and three-dimensional models related to Traffic Signs, Road Markings, and Directional Sign projects.
• Create detailed engineering layouts including general arrangements, plan layouts, structural details, and schedules using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Translate engineering sketches, designs, and specifications into accurate construction drawings.
• Develop and update 3D models in traffic-related disciplines using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Conduct clash detection analyses and prepare clash reports through Navisworks software.
• Collaborate closely with design engineers to refine and approve project drawings.
• Ensure drawings meet company CAD standards, client specifications, and follow ISO 19650 document management workflows.
• Manage drawing and document control using software tools such as ProjectWise and ACC Navigator.
• Perform dimensional validation, basic engineering calculations, and thorough quality checks before submitting drawings.
• Maintain revision control on drawings and ensure on-time delivery of all project documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Associate Degree, Technical Diploma, or equivalent certificate in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience with Traffic and Highway projects.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Navisworks applications.
• Experience using ProjectWise and/or ACC Navigator for comprehensive document management.
• In-depth knowledge of standards for Traffic Signs, Road Markings, and Directional Sign drawings.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 workflows and approval procedures for drawings.
• Capability to effectively manage multiple assignments under tight schedules.
• Self-driven with strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent skills in communication and coordination.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience working on highway and infrastructure-related projects.
• High commitment to accuracy and quality control.
• Knowledge of Qatari road and traffic standards is considered an advantage.
