About The Role

SSP Canada operates various dining establishments within Ottawa International Airport. As a Food Service Associate, you will be vital in preparing, serving, selling, and restocking a variety of food and beverages for guests. If you have experience in quick service restaurants, coffee or tea shops, or fast casual dining, you will be an excellent fit for our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming customers warmly and courteously.
  • Accurately processing customer orders using the point of sale system.
  • Handling customer payments and providing correct change.
  • Setting up, maintaining, cleaning, and dismantling equipment and machinery.
  • Completing mandatory opening, ongoing, and closing checklists.
  • Organizing and cleaning work and storage areas, including refrigeration units; disposing of waste by emptying and re-lining trash bins.
  • Conducting cleaning duties with standard cleaning agents to meet health and safety standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Prior experience at Tim Hortons is considered a plus.
  • High school diploma is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English for communication with guests is necessary.
  • Knowledge of French is advantageous.
  • Memory skills to recall and promote various menu items.
  • Familiarity with keyboard and POS operations for order management.
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
