About The Position
SSP Canada manages various dining outlets within Pearson International Airport, including Tim Hortons. We are currently seeking a skilled Baker to prepare delicious baked items such as donuts, muffins, croissants, cookies, breads, and other pastries with care and precision. This role requires experience in bakery production in a busy kitchen setting and offers comprehensive medical and dental benefits alongside an employee meal plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake assorted baked products maintaining company quality standards.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of all equipment, supplies, and utensils in the workstation.
- Properly handle, label, store, and rotate ingredients and products in compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain composure and efficiency during peak production times while delivering consistent product quality.
- Verify that all food items are accurately presented, served, and displayed per company specifications.
- Perform regular and assigned cleaning tasks with standard cleaning products to meet health regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least one year of prior experience in a food service environment is mandatory.
- A high school diploma is preferred.
- Experience at Tim Hortons is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to accurately follow recipes ensuring product quality.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Effective English communication skills for interaction with guests and colleagues, in both verbal and written forms.
- Eligibility and ability to obtain Transport Canada security clearance.

This job is based in a restricted area inside the airport, requiring possession of a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
