Job Purpose
The Team Member in the AOCC/JCC is instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of airport operations by actively monitoring activities in real-time and coordinating with various stakeholders. This position ensures correct deployment of resources, manages congestion, and maintains operational efficiency within the airport environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor terminal operations for congestion or unusual events and coordinate corrective actions with terminal operations, security, and related teams.
- Oversee baggage delivery processes to prevent and resolve delays, ensuring seamless operations.
- Supervise Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) and Gate Operating System (GOS) to allocate parking stands proactively before flight arrivals, maintaining timely block and off-block actions.
- Coordinate with the Landing Parking Cell and non-scheduled operators to secure departure clearances according to flight schedules.
- Make manual or automated flight announcements inside terminals as required by airlines or operations departments.
- Provide up-to-date flight status information through paging systems to keep passengers and visitors informed during normal operations and disruptions.
- Ensure Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS) are updated promptly and accurately.
- Collaborate with Medical Services, Air Traffic Control (ATC), ground handlers, and terminal operations to address medical emergencies effectively.
- Work closely with ATC for managing flight arrivals, parking, runway changes, and towing permissions.
- Coordinate with airlines, ground handlers, engineering, security, and other teams to support efficient shift operations.
- Maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulations, and assist in internal and external audits.
- Record operational data and prepare comprehensive reports covering shift activities, incidents, and overall performance.
- Support training programs for staff on mandated adherence to aviation safety standards, ISO certifications, and operational excellence.
- Participate in mock drills, simulations, and cross-departmental training to maintain excellent interdepartmental coordination.
Key Stakeholders
Internal: Duty Manager AOCC/JCC, Airport Operations, ATC, Security, Medical, Engineering & Maintenance, Health, Safety & Environment teams.
External: Airlines, Ground Handlers, Non-scheduled Operators, Customs, Immigration, CISF, ARC, Air Force, Military, and Medical Agencies.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Post Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Operations Management, or related disciplines.
- Experience: Preferably 1 to 2 years in airport operations, ground handling, or airside services.
