Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher Aide to join our Industrial Technology and Design (ITD) team to assist in delivering high-quality, practical educational experiences. The successful candidate will support teachers, students, and parents in a positive and supportive learning environment, helping to prepare and facilitate practical lessons, maintain workshop spaces, equipment, and materials, and carry out administrative duties to promote safe and engaging classrooms.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Assist with workshop activities including preparation and delivery of practical lessons.
- Maintain hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment ensuring they are in safe working order.
- Apply sound workplace health and safety practices at all times.
- Organize materials, maintain clean workshop areas, and monitor consumable stock levels with assistance in ordering.
- Support students with diverse learning needs and collaborate effectively with teaching staff.
- Utilize basic computer skills for record keeping and resource management tasks.
