Role Overview
Pialba State School is in search of a dynamic Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will spearhead the Special Education Program at a growing school, supporting teachers in delivering tailored interventions and adjustments for students with disabilities. This role entails managing case coordination for students with complex needs while collaborating extensively with families, external agencies, and staff to optimise student success.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Special Education and Early Childhood Development Programs, assuring delivery of expert advice, targeted support, and evidence-based interventions for students with disabilities.
- Provide professional guidance to school leadership, teaching staff, and others to create, execute, and evaluate practical reasonable adjustments, inclusive teaching methods, and case management plans.
- Coordinate specialised support services such as intensive targeted teaching, access to internal and external specialists, continuous professional development, and partnerships with families and community organisations.
- Manage school-wide systems to monitor student progress, handle disability data, and ensure compliance with the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) standards, utilizing data for strategic planning.
- Participate in school leadership and decision-making, managing human, financial, curricular, and facility resources to align with strategic objectives.
