Job Overview

This role supports teachers in designing, delivering, and assessing personalized educational services and learning programs tailored for students with special needs. The support extends across both specialized and integrated classroom environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in managing classroom dynamics and community engagement activities involving students.
• Provide supervision and assistance to individual students or small groups on instructional tasks assigned by teachers.
• Help in preparing lesson materials and organizing classroom settings for instructional purposes.
• Offer assistance to students with Mild Intellectual Disabilities (MID), Autism, and other developmental challenges, focusing on enhancing personal care, independence, and participation in daily lessons and activities both within and outside the classroom; also assist with student profiling.
• Collaborate with school committees to design and execute educational and recreational programs across the school.
• Work alongside allied professionals, parents, caregivers, and external organizations to ensure high-quality support and promote the well-being of students.

Job Requirements

• Educational qualification of at least GCE "O" level, NITEC, polytechnic diploma, or equivalent.
• Strong skills in time management, problem-solving, decision-making, and effective oral and written communication.
• Prior experience working with individuals with Mild Intellectual Disabilities (MID).
• Familiarity with educational technology tools and applications.
• Demonstrated ability in managing classroom environments and student behavior effectively.
