About Adelaide University Online (AUO)
AUO delivers 100% online degree programs targeting busy adults balancing work, family, and life commitments. Our courses come in two formats: compact 10-week sessions across four terms annually, and accelerated 6-week sessions across six terms annually. Each program is crafted specifically for the online learning environment, combining flexibility and engagement. Students have access to academic and study support beyond typical office hours, including weekends.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
As part of the AUO teaching team, you will deliver online instruction across diverse academic areas such as Business & Law, Creative Arts, Design and Humanities, Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences, Engineering and IT, Health, and Science. Duties include facilitating discussions, assessing and providing detailed feedback on assignments, and supporting student learning to maximize academic outcomes. You will also mentor students and serve as the first contact point for addressing student concerns or complaints.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree plus relevant professional or industry experience for 10-week courses.
- Minimum of a Master's degree or PhD qualification for 6-week courses.
- Proficiency in online teaching methods and digital tools essential for engaging diverse student populations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal.
- Willingness to work flexibly outside standard business hours, including weekends.
