About the Role
The Customer Support function acts as the first touchpoint for millions of users globally, providing quick and thoughtful help while working closely with product teams to improve the overall experience. In this role, you will serve as a detail-focused Subject Matter Expert responsible for invoicing and payment operations for Shops merchants. The position sits across Operations, Finance, and Support, and includes monthly revenue reporting, invoice generation, merchant transaction reporting, and payment follow-up responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly revenue reporting and the invoicing process for Shops merchants.
- Check and maintain accuracy by matching revenue figures across internal finance and product systems.
- Create and issue invoices in line with specific merchant commercial agreements.
- Prepare and send detailed transaction reports that give merchants a clear view of their financial activity.
- Act as the primary contact for billing-related questions and payment support.
- Review, investigate, and resolve invoice issues and merchant billing disputes.
- Monitor payment progress and follow up on overdue balances when required.
- Use SQL and data analysis tools to inspect transaction data and diagnose technical issues.
- Improve invoicing processes, operational workflows, documentation, and training materials.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Finance teams to identify root causes and drive better outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong command of English.
- Prior experience in merchant support, ideally within fintech or marketing-related environments.
- Solid analytical capability and comfort working with data in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and SQL.
- High accuracy, strong attention to detail, and good troubleshooting ability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with experience working across functions.
- Ability to juggle multiple merchants, deadlines, and follow-ups at the same time.
Nice to Have
- Background in B2B or merchant-facing settings such as ecommerce, fintech, SaaS, or marketplaces.
- Hands-on experience with invoicing, payments, or collections processes.
