About Revolut

Revolut was founded in 2015 with the goal of giving people a better way to manage their money: greater visibility, more control, and more freedom. Its product ecosystem spans spending, saving, investing, exchanging, travelling, and additional financial services, helping over 70 million customers make the most of their money every day.

As the company continues to expand rapidly, its people and culture remain central to its success. Revolut has been recognised as a Great Place to Work™ and now employs 13,000+ people across offices and remote teams worldwide. The company is looking for exceptional talent that enjoys building strong products, challenging convention, and simplifying complex problems into elegant solutions.

About the role

The finance function at Revolut supports the business with clear, reliable insight. It covers accounting, strategic decision support, risk awareness, and growth enablement. The team influences both everyday operations and long-term planning, playing an important part in the company’s ability to scale.

Revolut is hiring a Head of Finance to establish and lead the local finance team in Canada. This person will own the full breadth of finance leadership, including strategy, control, reporting, and regulatory management.

What you’ll do

  • Take ownership of all regulatory, prudential, and statutory finance reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the main finance point of contact for local regulators and external audit partners.
  • Oversee capital, liquidity, and balance sheet management in partnership with Risk and Treasury.
  • Create and maintain a strong governance and control environment that supports compliance and audit readiness.
  • Set up and run the local finance function from scratch, including accounting, month-end closing, and reporting routines.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, board materials, and senior leadership performance analysis.
  • Ensure group reporting submissions and consolidation inputs are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Provide the CEO and Board with financial analysis to support strategic decisions and business growth.
  • Work with Compliance, Risk, Treasury, and Product teams to support new product launches in a regulated setting.
  • Recruit, build, and scale the local finance team as the business entity grows.

What you need

  • A CPA or an equivalent recognised international accounting qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience signing off on, or overseeing, statutory financial statements in a regulated financial institution.
  • At least 10 years of senior finance experience in a regulated bank or deposit-taking organisation.
  • Strong expertise in regulatory and prudential reporting.
  • Practical experience with capital and liquidity reporting, plus balance sheet oversight.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and consolidated reporting.
  • Experience developing or materially strengthening finance controls and governance processes.
  • Prior work with financial regulators and external auditors.
  • Experience in a group or parent-company structure, including consolidation and policy alignment.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, including exposure to CEO- and board-level reporting.
  • The ability to work independently and build a function from the ground up in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

  • Background in fintech or digital banking.
  • Experience in high-growth, international matrix organisations.
  • Strong automation capability and a data-led approach to finance transformation.
