About the role
The Legal team supports the business by turning complex issues into clear, practical guidance that helps Revolut grow quickly while staying compliant and protected. In this position, you will take ownership of local governance in New Zealand, support committees, coordinate with regulators, and make sure the Board understands its legal duties and responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide independent governance support to help the business expand in New Zealand.
- Draft meeting agendas, distribute board packs, and monitor follow-up actions within agreed deadlines.
- Take an active part in board meetings and produce accurate, detailed minutes.
- Keep statutory registers up to date, oversee document execution, and submit filings to the Companies Office.
- Support the Legal team in maintaining full compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Communicate confidently and influence effectively at executive and board level.
- Lead initiatives that strengthen and scale the local governance function.
- Act as Revolut’s representative in New Zealand with public institutions and regulators.
- Maintain strong local governance practices while aligning core processes across the wider group.
- Support junior team members by guiding their development and reviewing the quality of their work.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a corporate secretarial position.
- A tertiary qualification in law, business, or a recognised company secretarial certification.
- Background in a financial services organisation or technology company.
- Strong knowledge of local corporate governance, company law, and conflict-of-interest handling.
- Ability to build effective relationships and work well with senior executives.
- Experience managing board and committee processes end to end.
- Proven capability in writing clear and concise minutes.
- Ability to manage legal entity compliance work with limited supervision.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Resilience and the ability to juggle competing priorities effectively.
