Overview
The Specialist M-Pesa Enterprise plays a crucial role in fostering the acquisition, growth, and retention of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and government clients by promoting M-Pesa payments and collections solutions. This position centers on uncovering new business opportunities, managing key strategic partnerships, and increasing adoption of digital payments with customized M-Pesa offerings designed to enhance operational efficiency, transparency, and financial inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply fully with all regulatory requirements, internal company policies, anti-money laundering (AML), know your customer (KYC), and risk management protocols.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate sales records, forecasts, and customer documentation.
- Track market developments, customer demands, competitor movements, and broader industry trends.
- Engage with Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Local Authorities, and State-Owned Enterprises to drive digitization of payment and collection processes.
- Assist implementation of government projects related to revenue collection, disbursement, and digitization of payments.
- Stimulate wallet activity, boost transaction volumes, and promote product usage among designated accounts.
- Conduct periodic business performance reviews and identify avenues for upselling and cross-selling additional M-Pesa services.
- Source, prospect, and onboard new MSME and government clients for M-Pesa payment and collection services.
- Create and implement sales plans targeting achievement of revenue, transaction volume, and client acquisition goals.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
- Additional certifications in professional sales or digital financial services are advantageous.
- Three to five years of experience in enterprise sales, digital financial services, banking, fintech, telecommunications, or payments sectors.
- Proven success in B2B sales and account management roles.
- Experience selling payment, collection, or financial technology products to businesses and government organizations.
- Track record of effectively managing corporate and public sector partnerships.
