Role Overview
Snapdeal is hiring a Social Media Head who can transform online trends into brand conversations, build communities around content, and turn casual followers into engaged fans. This role is focused on shaping the company’s social identity from end to end, creating campaigns that people want to share, and ensuring Snapdeal stays part of the wider e-commerce conversation.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the overall social media direction and long-term strategy for the brand.
- Develop a distinctive brand voice that is easy to recognize across channels.
- Keep the brand relevant in culture, trending topics, and everyday online conversations.
- Lead content planning and execution across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and new platforms as they emerge.
- Create content that is engaging, useful, and designed to encourage interaction.
- Transform customer stories, memes, cultural moments, and audience insights into compelling posts.
- Support audience growth, engagement, and community development.
- Build active brand communities that people genuinely enjoy being part of.
- Identify and act on real-time marketing opportunities and trend-driven moments.
- Design creator and influencer collaborations that feel natural and authentic.
- Develop campaigns that generate conversation beyond the campaign period itself.
- Track performance using metrics such as engagement, reach, shares, saves, sentiment, and business impact.
- Use insights and data to continuously improve content and campaign strategy.
- Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing social and content team.
- Coordinate with agencies, creators, and internal teams to execute strong ideas effectively.
What We Are Looking For
- 5 to 8 years of experience in social media, content, brand, or digital marketing roles.
- A demonstrated history of building brand presence through social channels.
- Strong understanding of internet culture as well as business goals and outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of content creation, storytelling, community management, and influencer marketing.
- A balance of creative thinking and strategic execution.
- A clear point of view on effective content, supported by measurable results.
