Site Engineer - Civil

About the Role

We seek a responsible Civil Site Engineer to oversee and guide all civil engineering activities at the project location in Sharjah. The candidate will handle daily site operations, provide technical supervision, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure construction adheres to approved plans, specifications, and timelines while upholding quality, safety, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all civil construction tasks onsite, effectively managing labor, materials, and equipment to achieve timely and high-quality results.
• Oversee shoring, dewatering, excavation, and backfilling processes ensuring proper execution.
• Interpret and verify construction drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance during implementation.
• Track progress of works, resource utilization, and alignment with schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams for approvals, inspections, and daily project operations.
• Participate in site meetings, compile progress reports, and propose solutions to any delays or challenges.
• Collaborate with procurement to guarantee timely material and equipment delivery.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, bar bending schedules, and raise material requisitions as necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive site documentation including daily logs, inspection requests, and quality records.
• Ensure construction methods and safety protocols strictly follow approved standards and plans.
• Provide technical support and guidance to on-site teams to maintain high workmanship and quality standards.
• Work closely with planning and QA/QC departments to ensure seamless operations and project compliance.
• Communicate effectively with project management and stakeholders to offer technical assistance and coordinate activities.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 3 to 6 years of relevant experience within the UAE or GCC region, specifically in water/wastewater infrastructure projects including pumping stations and treatment facilities.
• Demonstrated skills in RCC works, underground structures, shoring, and dewatering techniques.
• Knowledgeable about local authorities' standards and construction regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite, and project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Capability to handle multidisciplinary project requirements.
• Valid UAE driving license mandatory.
• Effective communication skills in English and Hindi; Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
• Strong technical capabilities coupled with solid site management expertise.
