Overview
This position serves as a key recruiting partner for leadership across Boulder Care, managing end-to-end hiring processes and influencing hiring approaches to enhance recruitment standards. The role mainly focuses on Corporate and General & Administrative staffing, while also assisting with Product and Software Engineering recruitment. Success requires strong judgment, business sense, and confidence to forge trusted relationships and inform hiring decisions within a dynamic startup atmosphere.
Boulder Care is a leading virtual addiction medicine clinic committed to compassionate, evidence-based care. Founded in 2017, our mission is to improve outcomes for people with substance use disorders through a fully remote, multidisciplinary care team offering personalized treatment options including medication-assisted therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full recruitment life cycle from job definition to offer acceptance for assigned departments
- Collaborate with hiring managers to design recruiting strategies and create effective interview frameworks to identify top-quality talent
- Establish proactive talent pipelines aligned to ongoing and future hiring needs
- Maintain momentum in recruitment processes by managing schedules, ensuring stakeholder accountability, and communicating promptly with candidates
- Handle multiple simultaneous recruitment projects while balancing evolving business demands
- Deliver an efficient, quality-driven recruitment experience balancing speed, quality, and candidate engagement
- Serve as strategic recruitment advisor to assigned departments, guiding on role scope, interview plans, and evaluation criteria
- Provide market insights and compensation guidance to hiring managers
- Identify and mitigate hiring risks, recommending process improvements to enhance outcomes
- Foster trust with leaders via transparent communication and strategic recommendations
- Apply prior high-growth startup recruiting experience to anticipate challenges and adapt plans accordingly
- Continuously identify and implement recruitment process improvements, leveraging data analysis to inform strategies and operational decisions
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports that enhance recruitment visibility and decision-making
- Partner across teams to optimize hiring programs, tools, and workflows
- Ensure an outstanding candidate experience by representing company values and providing timely, respectful communications
Candidate Profile
- Over 6 years of progressive full-cycle recruitment expertise, especially within Corporate and G&A functions in later-stage high-growth startups (Series B and beyond)
- Proven ability working with senior leaders (Directors, VPs, Executives) on hiring and workforce planning
- Experience managing high-stakes searches requiring strategic sourcing and sound hiring judgment
- Background recruiting Product and Software Engineering roles
- Strong influencing skills based on structured candidate evaluations and market knowledge
- Excellent sourcing skills with experience building pipelines and engaging passive candidates across diverse functions
- Advanced proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems, including reporting and workflow management while maintaining data integrity
- Effective negotiation and closing capabilities benefiting both candidates and hiring teams
- Superior communication skills with aptitude to build trust, influence stakeholders, and navigate tough discussions
- Analytical mindset using recruiting data and market insights to drive hiring strategy
- Ability to adapt and exercise sound judgment in a fast-changing startup setting
- Consistently demonstrates professionalism, ethical standards, and composure under pressure
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Recruiting experience in digital health, healthcare technology, or telehealth
- Healthcare, including clinical talent acquisition exposure
- Familiarity with substance use disorder treatment sector
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills including pivot tables and data analysis, with experience creating recruiting dashboards
Work Environment & Location
This is a fully remote position open to candidates located in select US states (AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, KY, MA, ME, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA, WV). Boulder Care offers optional use of its Portland, OR riverfront headquarters.
Working Hours
This full-time role expects 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday during standard business hours.
Compensation & Benefits
The starting salary range is $90,000 to $100,000 annually, with offers individualized based on location, skills, and experience. The complete compensation package may include medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, 401(k) eligibility, paid vacation, sick leave, parental leave, and more.
