About the Role

The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner acts as the leading recruitment collaborator for leaders across Boulder Care, taking full ownership of the entire hiring lifecycle and aiding in the development of effective hiring strategies. This person also enhances hiring decisions and strengthens recruitment practices.

This position mainly focuses on Corporate and General & Administrative (G&A) recruitment but also contributes to Product and Software Engineering hiring efforts. Success relies on solid judgment, business insight, and the confidence to build trusted relationships and impact hiring choices within a dynamic startup environment.

The ideal candidate possesses experience recruiting for high-growth startups and understands the complexities of hiring during organizational scaling. They anticipate recruitment challenges ahead of time and provide practical, experience-informed solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruiting processes across assigned functions, from role creation to offer acceptance.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define recruitment strategies and establish effective interview frameworks to find top talent.
  • Develop and maintain proactive talent pipelines based on current and future hiring needs.
  • Drive recruitment initiatives by managing schedules, ensuring stakeholder engagement, and maintaining clear candidate communications.
  • Handle multiple hiring projects simultaneously, adapting to competing priorities and evolving business requirements.
  • Deliver a fast yet high-quality recruitment experience balancing hiring speed, candidate quality, and experience.
  • Act as the trusted recruitment advisor to specific departments, offering strategic counsel throughout the hiring lifecycle.
  • Lead intake sessions to clarify role scopes, interview tactics, evaluation standards, and timelines.
  • Advise on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and candidate availability.
  • Challenge preconceived notions, highlight hiring risks, and suggest improvements for better outcomes.
  • Develop strong relationships by providing transparent communication, thoughtful advice, and dependable execution.
  • Leverage experience from fast-growing startups to foresee hiring challenges and guide tailored hiring strategies that reflect changing priorities.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to recruiting workflows, interview quality, and operational effectiveness independently.
  • Analyze recruiting metrics to detect patterns, potential risks, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Build and sustain dashboard reports to increase clarity on recruitment efforts, pipeline health, and business insights.
  • Collaborate with People Operations and other departments to refine hiring programs, systems, and processes.
  • Contribute ideas and best practices to evolve Boulder Care’s Talent Acquisition function continuously.
  • Monitor market and pipeline trends to mitigate hiring risks early with strategic adjustments.
  • Create a positive, thoughtful candidate experience reflecting Boulder Care’s mission and values.
  • Ensure timely and professional communication regardless of outcomes to all candidates.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of six years progressive experience in full-cycle recruiting with notable expertise in Corporate and G&A functions within Series B, C, or later-stage startups.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior executives, including Directors and VPs, on hiring strategy and workforce planning.
  • History of leading critical, high-profile searches demonstrating sound stakeholder management, sourcing, and hiring judgment.
  • Experience recruiting for Product and Software Engineering roles.
  • Strong persuasion skills influencing hiring choices through structured candidate evaluation and market insight.
  • Expertise in sourcing and building pipelines by engaging both active and passive candidates across multiple disciplines.
  • Advanced proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems, including reporting, process management, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Excellent negotiation and candidate closing abilities resulting in mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication talents, capable of building trust, influencing stakeholders, and managing challenging dialogues.
  • Analytical mindset to utilize recruitment data and market trends in driving hiring strategy.
  • Highly adaptable with sound decision-making abilities to succeed in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.
  • Consistently demonstrates professionalism, ethics, and composure under pressure.

Additional Preferred but Not Mandatory Qualifications

  • Background recruiting in digital health, healthcare technology, or telehealth industries.
  • Experience with healthcare recruiting including clinical roles.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment landscapes.
  • Advanced skills with Excel or Google Sheets involving pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis, including developing recruitment dashboards.

Work Conditions

  • This is a fully remote role, restricted to candidates residing in select U.S. states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, KY, MA, ME, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA, and WV.
  • Employees may use the company’s riverfront headquarters in Portland, OR at any time.

Working Hours

Full-time employment averaging 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range is $90,000 to $100,000, with actual pay aligned to factors such as geographic location, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, short-term disability plans, as well as access to mental health services like Talkspace and Employee Assistance Programs.

Additional benefits include:

  • Four weeks of vacation accruing annually, increasing to five weeks after two years.
  • Paid sick leave accruing at the rate of one hour per 30 hours worked.
  • Nine paid holidays annually.
