Overview

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) serves as a strategic collaborator and trusted advisor to senior leadership within Supply Chain and Sourcing domains, aligning HR initiatives with broader organizational goals. This role supports global operational leaders by driving workforce strategies, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and optimizing talent management outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sourcing leaders to devise and implement HR strategies focused on business priorities such as cost reduction, process efficiency, and supplier performance enhancement.
  • Lead workforce planning by forecasting talent demands in areas like demand planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management, fostering talent pipelines for critical positions including Buyers and Supply Chain Managers.
  • Address and resolve complex employee relations issues across varied operational and commercial settings, and promote employee engagement and retention across diverse, geographically distributed teams.
  • Manage performance review cycles, talent assessments, and calibration processes aligned with supply chain KPIs and operational objectives, coaching leadership to uphold accountability and high performance.
  • Guide organizational restructuring and design initiatives in support of supply chain transformations, sourcing strategy evolution, and operational scaling efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with global labor regulations and internal policies, specifically within procurement and operational contexts, while supporting workforce risk mitigation strategies including management of contingent labor and vendor-related workforce risks.
  • Develop deep operational knowledge across procurement, vendor management, logistics, and inventory planning, applying this insight to translate business challenges into actionable HR solutions.

  • Comprehensive HR expertise in aligning personnel strategies with business demands, fostering positive work relations, and advancing organizational effectiveness.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to design HR initiatives that promote productivity and business growth.
  • Experience researching and executing HR policies that support both employees and organizational goals.
  • Talent identification and development, coupled with strategic workforce planning across business units.
  • Expertise in performance management systems, including coaching leaders to achieve business visions through effective employee development.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced, changing environments and the ability to maintain confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
  • Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in HR roles, with a minimum of 5 years serving as a strategic HR Business Partner.
  • Proficient computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint; experience with Oracle or equivalent HR software is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% outside shipboard duties.

Work Environment & Location

This role requires employees to work primarily from Carnival’s South Florida office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays designated as remote workdays. Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate to the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. The work setting is climate-controlled with minimal health or safety hazards.
