Overview

The Cabana Attendant is tasked with ensuring the smooth setup, operation, and upkeep of cabanas or private guest spaces across Carnival Corporation's global destinations. This role involves preparing cabanas with all required supplies, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, frequent guest monitoring to guarantee comfort, and handling guest needs effectively. The Attendant collaborates closely with supervisors and concierges to resolve inquiries and special requests while supporting events and overall guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and escort guests to their designated cabanas or private zones promptly.
  • Conduct regular guest check-ins to confirm comfort and provision of requested amenities.
  • Maintain excellence in service standards by promptly addressing inquiries, special needs, and minor issues.
  • Assist guests in enhancing their experience within the cabana facilities.
  • Uphold all environmental, health, safety, and sanitation regulations consistently.
  • Keep cabanas and surrounding areas clean, organized, and aligned with company standards.
  • Enforce operational and safety protocols to ensure guests enjoy a secure environment.
  • Report any damages, malfunctions, or maintenance requirements immediately to supervisors or concierges.
  • Assist with minor repairs or coordinate technical support as needed.
  • Document incidents or challenges for management review to improve operations.
  • Prepare, stock, and equip cabanas fully with necessary amenities and supplies.
  • Perform cleaning and organization duties to maintain cabana tidiness.
  • Carry out any additional tasks assigned to enhance cabana operation and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED; hospitality-related education is advantageous.
  • Current health certificate plus valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Strong English communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-moving environment ensuring timely service.
  • Physically capable of lifting 15 pounds, prolonged standing, walking, and outdoor activity under various weather conditions.
  • Full range of motion in limbs with good sensory abilities to safely participate in emergency procedures.
  • Strong endurance and attentiveness to maintain personal and guest safety at all times.
  • Comprehension of corporate policies including conduct, audit procedures, and data handling.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with data entry and reporting tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect company appearance standards.
  • Preparedness to support teamwork and company initiatives focused on health, safety, and environmental protection.

Additional Information

  • Candidates must be willing and able to work outdoors, including extended periods of standing.
  • Shift work may be required depending on location and operational demands.
