Job Overview

The Carpenter role involves precise measurement, cutting, and shaping of wood, plastic, and other materials at various global destinations operated by Carnival Corporation, including Hay Moon Cay in The Bahamas. The professional will assemble and install structural components such as walls, floors, and doorframes, repair damaged fixtures, and provide guidance to laborers and helpers.

Key Responsibilities

• Hang drywall and assist in framing walls and ceilings.
• Install flooring materials including wood, tile, and vinyl.
• Maintain and repair cabinets, insulation, tile, and drywall installations.
• Construct and fit doors, cabinets, shelving, and windows.
• Cut, shape, and tailor wood, plastic, and other materials precisely as required.
• Operate hand and power tools for carpentry operations.
• Participate in demolition of existing structures when needed.
• Ensure all work adheres to building codes and project specifications.
• Prepare detailed construction and progress reports for supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and endure prolonged periods of standing or desk work.
• Full physical fitness to participate in emergency lifesaving drills, including full mobility and sensory abilities for effective communication.
