Senior Financial Accountant – Family Office

Overview

We are partnering with a successful, privately owned Family Office based in Dublin to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant. This unique role offers a qualified accountant the chance to transition into industry and gain diverse exposure beyond typical financial accounting duties. You'll work closely with the Finance Director and be involved in financial reporting, investment accounting, commercial analysis, tax compliance, and strategic initiatives. The organisation manages a diverse investment portfolio spanning multiple sectors and is expanding through acquisitions and investments, making this an exciting and commercially driven position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Compile monthly management accounts and prepare financial reporting packages.
• Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and manage month-end close procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting activities.
• Provide assistance with VAT and corporation tax compliance.
• Analyse financial results and deliver commercial insights to leadership.
• Assist in investment reporting and group accounting tasks.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and banking institutions.
• Lead finance process enhancement and automation efforts.
• Participate in ad hoc projects, acquisitions, and strategic business initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant holding ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA credentials.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting and technical accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and analytical capabilities.
• Effective communication skills with proven stakeholder management.
• Commercially astute and proactive in approach.
• Driven and eager to expand experience beyond conventional accounting roles.
