Role Overview

LHH is collaborating with a Seattle-based Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) client to fill a newly created Senior Director of Marketing position. This permanent role arises amid significant organizational expansion and brand development initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping strategic direction, driving revenue growth, leading cross-functional teams, and enhancing brand positioning. They will spearhead the creation and growth of a specialized marketing and eCommerce team focused on tactical execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a pivotal leader within the organization offering marketing expertise in the CPG sector to guide brand strategy, company positioning, and revenue enhancement efforts.
  • Direct and expand a marketing and eCommerce team, fostering talent development through training and mentorship.
  • Manage the department’s budget and profit and loss statement; continuously analyze KPIs to identify opportunities for investment and growth.
  • Represent the brand as a subject matter expert and thought leader in B2B engagements, including client meetings, trade shows, and vendor interactions.

Candidate Profile and Experience

  • More than ten years of integrated marketing experience with at least three years in a leadership role managing mid-sized marketing and eCommerce teams.
  • Proven background in the CPG industry, ideally within wellness, beauty, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for departmental budgeting and P&L management, including budget creation and justification.
  • Expertise in both direct-to-consumer (DTC) and business-to-business (B2B) wholesale marketing strategies and execution.
  • Strong technical knowledge of marketing and eCommerce platforms such as Google Analytics, email marketing systems, and eCommerce technologies.
  • Proficient in collaborating at executive levels with internal partners and external vendors to implement marketing strategies.

Location and Work Environment

This position is primarily based in the Seattle metropolitan area, supporting a hybrid working arrangement. Candidates living on the West Coast may work remotely, provided they are willing to travel frequently to Seattle. Anticipate approximately 20% travel domestically and internationally.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $165,000 to $180,000, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
